One of the first 48v battery powered side discharge ride on mowers on the market, the Freedom 38e-SD from Mountfield ca cover over 2000 square meters and is fully charged in just 6 hours.Featuring easy key start and foot operated drive, the Freedom 38e-SD is extremely user friendly. The two brushless motors power the twin bladed 38 inch deck that has the ability to cover a lot of ground quickly. Excellent traction is achieved with the rear wheel drive and two anti-scalp wheels that protect the turf and deck as you mow.Choose between side discharge and mulching modes. The side discharge option allows you to leave neat rows of cuttings to the side of the machine that can be leaft to wilt back naturally. Mulching is particularly useful for lawns that are mowed on a more regular basis. Grass clippings are cut and then rectu into tiny pieces that are then blown back on to the lawn.
