Primula Veris - Cowslip Seeds

StocksandGreen
This is a native perennial that was once a common sight in meadows. It produces rosettes of evergreen foliage, distinctively veined, and carries its scented, tubular flowers on short, woolly stems. Its very attractive to pollinators. Flowers March to July. Planting sow under glass March June, or in a cold frame September November. Seeds need cold spells to germinate, so if they have not sprouted by mid-spring, place the seed tray in a shaded corner and be patient they can appear a year later. When they are large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots, and harden off before planting out. Aftercare cut back dead flowers, and deadhead if you wish to avoid self-seeding. Eventual height & spread 25 25cms.
