StocksandGreen A wonderfully colourful annual, prized for its bushy and compact habit and its clusters of scented flowers. Theyre highly attractive to butterflies and bees and enjoy a long vase life when cut for use in floral arrangements. Flowers July to September. Planting sow in situ April June, or surface sow under glass, February April in trays of moist, well-drained seed compost. Keep at 18-20C for germination placing trays in a propagator should help. Transplant the seedlings when large enough. Young plants benefit from gentle acclimatisation to outdoor temperatures before planting out once all danger of frost has passed.
