StocksandGreen
A white cornflower such as this contrasts fetchingly with the usual blue! Easy to grow, this selection has double flowers, sometimes with a hint of pink at their centre. It performs best in full sun and is ideal for cutting. Flowers May August. Planting sow in situ March May or August September for earlier flowers in the following year. Plant in well-prepared soil, 3mm deep, in drills spaced at 30cms. Thin seedlings to 15cms when grown. Alternatively, sow under glass February May or August October, overwinter and harden off, and plant out when all risk of frost has passed. Aftercare dont feed, as this just stimulates more foliage at the expense of flowers, and deadhead regularly to extend the season. Support if necessary. Eventual height & spread 120 30cms.
