Youll find your Worm Caf is easy to use in every way - a hinged lid helps you open and fill your worm farm while a sloping base on the collector tray assists the worm tea to drain easily from the drip free tap. The entire unit has been designed to prevent brown tea from running down the worm farm legs to stain your floor or tiles. Three working trays, all of which are side ventilated, maximise the Worm Cafs environmental stability, and keep air flowing without allowing rain to fill the farm and drown your worms. Cross ventilation also helps to prevent worm tea from turning anaerobic. The Worm Caf has been designed with mounds on collector trays and a fly proof lid to encourage worms to continuously move up through the trays in search of fresh organic waste. Modern legs with ant caps and a fly proof lid help prevent ants from climbing and insects from getting into your Worm Cafe. For absolute convenience, instructions are engraved under the lid of the Worm Caf. Tumbleweed's Worm Blankets increase activity in yourworm farm. Thicker than a hessian bag, made from breathable 100% natural fibres, and with a convenient handle, our Worm Blankets create the dark, moist, aerated environment that compost worms thrive in. Place your blanket over the food scraps in the top working tray. Lime Mix Enjoy easy worm composting thanks to this 1.5kg bag of Lime Mix. Add a handful of the white mix to your wormery every month or more if your worms handle a lot of acidic fruits. A 1.5kg bag of environmentally-friendly mix should last at least six months and will keep your wormery stable and non-acidic. 600g Coir Block Our new Coir Blocks are approx 600 grams in weight (2 x 300g Blocks) . Coconut Coir is extracted from the husk on the outer shell of a coconut, because of its superior water holding capacity, excellent air space and drainage, coir is a useful soil amendment for potted plants, containers, gardens and as wormery bedding. Just gradually add water until the coir is damp to the touch. It can also be added dry and broken up to soak up extra moisture in wormeries, to help you produce the best vermicompost ever!
