The Mountfield SP46 Elite 46cm cut rotary mower has some great features including the Honda engine, mulching option, single point height adjustments and steel deck. The 60L canvas / hard top grass collector allows air to circulate through the cuttings for better collecting and the rigid top has a shaped handle so it can be attached and removed with ease. The 4 wheeled SP46 Elite is a power driven or self-propelled mower with a fixed single speed designed for lawns of approx. 40 x 40m. You can choose the best cutting height from the 6 settings adjusting from 22 80mm. Start at the highest setting (80mm) then work down to the lowest (22mm) for the best cut and finish. The heights can be simply adjusted via a single lever.You can get even greater versatility from the mower by fitting the mulch plug. With the mulch plug fitted the grass will be cut into fine pieces which are blown down onto the lawn. They will virtually disappear then be absorbed into the soil. The large diameter (280mm) rear wheels make this mower better to handle and cope with in longer grass. Both the front and rear wheels are grooved with ball bearings. Always use fresh petrol in your Honda engine as it can begin to go stale within 4 6 weeks. Stale fuel will affect the performance & running quality of the engine ultimately stopping it completely. Only buy as much fuel as you need and dont store big quantities. Alternatively mix your fresh petrol with a fuel additive which can keep it fresh for up to 3 years. These additives wont revive stale fuel so you need to mix together with the fresh petrol before you add to the fuel tank.
