The Morus Nigra Black Mullberry, is a gorgeous treelarge bush we highly recommend. These trees are highly attractive, with the quite large, heart shaped, lush green leaves growing above a gnarled, rugged trunk. The domed, rounded habit of this tree gives it an architectural appearance, a brilliant tree to be grown as a specimen in the middle of the lawn. A tree which is to be admired for its outstanding beauty. That is not all, this tree is also a fruit bearer, producing crops of delicious, sweet tasty mulberries, similar in shape to the raspberry. The fruits matures slowly over the summer month's, fully ripe fruits are very attractive, very dark-red to black in colour. Mulberries can be eaten raw or cooked, and are great for jams. A tree not to be missed, ideal for any garden or container growing. Self fertile.
